In this paper, simulated dichloromethane gas was treated by using a homemade device to explore the factors of initial concentration of the gas, gas velocity, adsorption temperature, and bed length on the adsorption effect of macroporous resin. The experimental results showed that, the penetration time becomed shorter and the adsorption capacity of macroporous resin improved as the initial concentration increased; the penetration time becomed shorter and the adsorption capacity of macroporous resin decreased as the gas velocity or adsorption temperature increased; the shape of penetration curves just shifted left and right, when the bed length changed. In addition, there were four diffirent kinds of macroporous resin, such as XAD16, XAD1600, Ⅰ#and SD600, to compare the adsorption effect. And we foud that the macroporous resin of SD600had the best effect to treat dichloromethane gas. Comparative study of regeneration experiments by using the hot air method and solution washing method showed that, the solution washing method had the better effect. While the hot air method was more practical in engineering application with considering the factors of technic, economy and recyclability.Several theoretical isotherms was used to fit the adsorption isotherm of macroporous resin, which showed that the adsorption isotherm of macroporous resin fitted well with BET isotherms, but badly with Langmuir isotherms, Freundlidn isotherms and D-R isotherms. Finally, the adsorption behavior of macroporous resin was studied by using mass-transfer-district length model and Yoon-Nelson model The experimental results showed that, the mass-transfer-district length becomed longer as the initial concentration, adsorption temperature and gas velocity increased. What’s more, the macroporous resin adsorption process could be well described by Yoon-Nelson model...
