Urban economic development unceasingly, and industrial structure change, whitthis change the environment problem is coming out prominent, and that optimizationof urban internal adjustment, make more and more people gradually begin to payclose attention to low carbon development, low-carbon city and other low carbonconcept. Some scholars began to pay attention to carbon emissions method researchand the benefit of the carbon emissions research in some foreign country. But morepeople are based on the empirical study on carbon emissions, draw a Macroconclusions derived from the microscopic point of view. In the domestic researcherswill study perspective based on the viewpoint of macro, more Research at the nationallevel, Also more about carbon emissions calculation method is discussed.Guangdong province as the main city of developed economy of the pan-pearl riverdelta region, As Province of the great economic and industrial has a large number ofenergy consumption. According to “Twelfth Five Years Plan”, Energy conservationand emissions reduction goals and establish perfect statistical and monitoring systemsof greenhouse gas emissions, energy conservation and emission reductionrequirements, big provinces of carbon emissions should undertake more responsibility.Consumption carbon emissions from urban population as an important part of carbonemissions, we also need to pay more attention to the consumption of carbon emissionswith man as major body, especially in the consumer, the people directly involved inthe consumption process as a subject, which affected the overall carbon emissions. In this paper, the author focuses on the carbon emissions problems resulted byResidents’ food consumption in Guangdong Province, studying the variation of carbonemissions, regional differences and their factors within the time-series from1999to2011in Guangdong. The results shows:(1) Residents of Guangdong provincebetween1999and2011total food consumption carbon emissions grow slowly, in thetime series was marked by steady growth, rapid growth and steady growth of threephased characteristics. In addition, the city residents’ food consumption carbonemissions intensity presents the overall downward trend, while per capita carbon emissions in the study does not change significantly in share basic remain unchanged.(2)Guangdong different level city residents’ food consumption carbon emissionstime and space difference is significant. Carbon emissions and emissions intensityperformed significantly on the time difference. At the same time, carbon emissionschange presents the "core-periphery" on the space structure, shown by the gathered tothe evolution law of diffusion; through to the Guangdong residents’ food consumptioncarbon emissions of global and local spatial autocorrelation analysis, found that mostof the city’s carbon emission’s in Guangdong show the HH (high–high) or LL (low-low), the space distribution features of concentration diffusion effect is obvious. Inaddition, the polarization effect also exists at the same time.(3) using the analysis ofthe urban and rural residents Engel’s coefficient of urban and rural residents inGuangdong province regional difference of Engel’s coefficient, found that residentsare the main factors influencing the residents’ food consumption carbon emissions, and the residents of urban and rural population than for further analysis found that ahigh proportion of rural population in food consumption will lead to higher carbonemissions directly, which was positively proportional relationship.
