Currently, more than4,000pharmaceutical enterprises can produce nearly1500kinds of chemical raw materials, chemical preparations more than4,000dosage forms34varieties in China, the total output is about80million tons. According to statistics, the output value of pharmaceutical industry accounted for1.7%of national industrial output value, value, while the effluent accounted for2%. The pharmaceutical industry is one of the12focus of China’s environmental governance in the industries, The major source of pollution is organic waste which is from the work generated during the production, pharmaceutical wastewater is characterized by varieties, more production processes, variety of raw materials, waste water quality and quantity is very unstable and many kinds of organic pollutants are seriously excessive, it is a more difficult to deal with industrial wastewater.The object of this study is production wastewater of a pharmaceutical company, the company’s main production of microbial fermentation processes, and the leading products for colistin sulfate and10%colistin sulfate premixes. Colistin sulfate is a polypeptide system antibiotics obtained by a number of colistin alkaline medium, which is a mixture of E1and E2(polymyxin).Considering the characteristics of the wastewater, the "hydrolytic acidification+EGSB+A/O" was choosed as the main process of sewage treatment works. In the latter part of the process of commissioning and operation, the actual operation of the various structures, effects were analyzed, and the results showed that the process is reasonable, and could remove the contaminants effectively.According to the whole operating results, this process was effective for pharmaceutical wastewater and maybe it can provide an effective and workable reference for relevant treatment research and engineering design of similar wastewater.
