In this thesis, chlorine resistance and waterproof performances of an ordinary hook and loop fastener are researched. Through chlorine resist finishing and water repellent finishing, a chlorine-resist hook and loop fastener is gotten. Physical models of peel strength of an ordinary fastener and the chlorine-resist fastener are researched. As a result, the relevant peel strength formulas are gotten.Ordinary blue PA hook and loop fastener is dipped in chlorine water with a concentration100mg/L for4h, chlorine fastness and strength properties of the fastener are tested. As a result, the loop fastener chlorine fastness is down to degree1.5and the hook fastener is down to degree2.5, the dry strength of the fastener is reduced15%~21%and the wet strength is reduced25%。After chlorine resist finished, the chlorine fastness and strength properties of their fastener are researched. The results showed that the optimum finishing process is as follows:finishing agent NL-A80g/L, dipping time70min, dipping temperature30℃, drying time3min, drying temperature102℃. The chlorine fastness and strength properties of the optimum chlorine resist finished fastener are tested. As a result, the fastener chlorine fastness reach to degree4.5, the dry strength is increased15%~28%and the wet strength is increased30%~41%compared with ordinary fastener dipped in chlorine water. And the chlorine fastness is still degree4.5after4000times peeling and adhering.After water repellent finishing, the chlorine fastness and strength properties of their fastener are researched. The results showed that the optimum finishing process is as follows:finishing agent AG-E50g/L, dipping time60min, dipping temperature30℃, drying temperature102℃, drying time3min, baking temperature150℃and baking time60s. The chlorine fastness and strength properties of the optimum waterproof fastener are tested. As a result, the fastener chlorine fastness reach to degree4.5, the dry strength is increased9%~21%and the wet strength is increased52%~79%compared with ordinary fastener dipped in chlorine water. And the chlorine fastness is still degree4-5after6000times peeling and adhering.By setting up a physical model of single-hook peel force of hook and loop fastener based on fiber bending deformation, physical models of peel strength of an ordinary fastener is gotten. As a result, the parameters of the physical model are amended and the simpler peel strength formulas are gotten, which can be used in the limited calculating of peel strength of the fasteners according to the requirement of no over7%error percentage of theory peel strength to practical peel strength.Based on the peel strength formulas of the ordinary fastener, the peel strength formulas of chlorine-resist hook and loop fastener after dipping chlorine water are researched. We found that the peel strength of chlorine-resist hook and loop fastener present certain proportion relationship with the strength of the ordinary fastener within5%error percentage. As a result, the simpler peel strength formulas of chlorine-resist hook and loop fastener are gotten, which can be used in the limited calculating of peel strength of the chlorine-resist fasteners within a certain error percentage of theory peel strength to practical peel strength.
