In this thesis, dipping and coating flame retardant finishing process of polyester/nylon interlaced hook and loop fastener are researched. The fastener with properties of halogen-free, washing resistance, excellent fire retardant and strength is gotten. The optimal technologies of dipping and coating finishing is evaluated by means of comparing flame retardant properties of different technologies. Moreover, the scientificalness and rationality of the selected technologies are verified.In the dipping flame-retardant finishing process, phosphate-based flame retardants are used in the flame retardant finishing of the fastener. Four factors are tested and analyzed, including flame retardant agent, additive agent, dipping temperature and dipping time. Moreover, the analysis of orthogonal test shows that the primary and secondary sequences of the influence on the flame retardant properties for the loop fastener in turn is:flame retardant agent> additive agent> dipping temperature> dipping time. Accordingly, the optimal process is the flame retardant agent220g/L, the additive agent25g/L, dipping temperature100℃, dipping time2hours. Accordingly, the optimal process is the flame retardant agent220g/L, the additive agent20g/L, dipping temperature80℃, dipping time4hours. But, only after dipping flame retardant finishing, the hook and loop fastener’s washing resistant performance is not ideal.In the coating flame retardant finishing process, phosphorus-nitrogen-based flame retardants are used in the flame retardant finishing of the fastener. First, the flame retardant properties and resistance to washing of the fastener finished by ordinary PU glue are studied, the result shows that the finished fastener do not have the flame retardant properties and good washing performance. Next, three factors were tested and analyzed, including flame retardant agent, baking temperature and baking time. Moreover, the analysis of orthogonal test shows that the primary and secondary sequences of the influence on the flame retardant properties of the loop fastener in turn is:flame retardant agent> baking temperature> baking time. Accordingly, the optimal process is the flame retardant agent30%, baking temperature130℃, baking time3minutes. The primary and secondary sequences of the influence on the flame retardant properties of the hook fastener in turn is:flame retardant agent> baking temperature> baking time. Accordingly, the optimal process is the flame retardant agent30%, baking temperature150℃, baking time1minutes.The finished hook and loop fasteners are tested, including formaldehyde content, heavy metal content, longitudinal shear strength, peel strength and fatigue resistance. The results show that the formaldehyde content of the loop fastener after the finishing is2.3mg/kg (the hook fastener2.7mg/kg). The content is far lower than the national standard and can reach the national class A product requirements. The finished hook and loop fasteners almost do not contain heavy metals and is in full compliance with the requirements of environmental protection textile finishing. At the same time, the properties of the finished hook and loop fastener can reach the enhanced national standard, including longitudinal shear strength, peel strength and fatigue resistance. It reflects the finished hook and loop fasteners have a good mechanical property.In the end, dipping and coating finishing processes are evaluated with the three factor graph evaluation. Through the comparison and sorting for evaluation of comprehensive index values, the results show that the comprehensive evaluation index of each of the optimal process is ranked first. It shows that the selection of the optimal process is reasonable and embodies the most optimized performance.
