A Study On Ecological Carrying Capacity Of Xl’an

From be mentioned to nowadays, the concept of Ecological Carrying Capacity(ECC) wasborn only more than twenty years, theoires and researches related is still developing, of course,the research about city ecological carrying capacity is even more fewer. This paper combinedthe definition about ECC home and abroad, then presented a new deifnition about ECC, whichwas divided to three parts: ecological resilience、supporting force of carrying media andpressure of carrying objet. Next，I explained the meaning of these three parts particularly, builta whole evaluation index system about ECC based on the above.Following these chapters, this paper made an introduction of the Nature、society andeconomy about Xi’an in detail. Time interval about this research was from2000to2009, andthis paper used Pirncipal Component Analysis (PCA) as the main method, collected statisticaldata which is related to these years, from bottom to top, made a quantitative analysis about thesystem, descirbed the trend about ECC changes in Xi’an this decade all-around. In the last, onth’e basis of quantitative analysis, this paper pointed the developing problems about the citysecological system in Xi’an, and present some corresponding advice which is related to theseproblems，maybe useful to Xi’an in the future about sustainable development.
