In this paper, the resorcinol (R-80)and the superfine ammonium perchlorate(AP) was compounded to improve the thermal performance of the superfine ammonium perchlorate and reduce its mechanical sensitivity.The surface of the superfine ammonium perchlorate was coated with fluorine rubber for reducing its hygroscopicity and mechanical sensitivity,and its thermal performance was tested.This paper could be divided into three parts.The first part,R-80/AP composite oxidizer was prepared by the solvent-nonsolvent method.With the increase of R-80content, the thermal stability of R-80/AP composite oxidizer increased and its total decomposition heat didn’t change nearly,while the total decomposition heat of (R-80+AP) mechanical mixture decreased351.78J/g.With the increase of R-80content,the mechanical sensitivity of R-80/AP composite antioxidant decreased,and was lower than the mechanical mixture.The second part, R-80/AP composite oxidizer was prepared by co-precipitation.The thermal performance of R-80/AP composite oxidizer was the same with the pure AP.With the increase of R-80content the characteristic drop height gradually increased. When the content of R-80increased to4.8%,the characteristic drop height increased28.3cm.When the content of R-80was1.2%,the friction sensitivity was the same as pure AP,when the content of R-80was4.8%,the friction sensitivity only fell by8%.So the change trend of impact sensitivity and friction sensitivity was inconsistent.The third part,the surface of the superfine ammonium perchlorate was coated with fluorine rubber by solvent evaporation.The hygroscopicity of1%coated AP was greatly declined.On the fifth day,the weight of1%coated AP almost didn’t gain,while the superfine AP gained9.1%.After30days,the weight of1%coated AP gained3.9%,and was14.7%lower than the superfine AP.When the coating amount is l%,the total heat quantity only reduced72.1J/g,while the characteristic drop height increased31.9cm, Friction explosion probability reduced32%.
