Among the quality indicator of plate mill, the precision of thickness, the thickness of uniformity in length and the quality of plate shape are very important. The target of plate mill rolling is to produce good shape, small convexity products with the difference as small as possible between the same and the different slabs thickness.Taking Tianjin Steel and Iron Group Co., LTD3500mm medium plate as the background, based on a large amount of related literature at home and abroad, this thesis summarizes of the development of AGC control technology to make the deep study of Tian Gang3500mm finishing mill AGC control system, which contain the following points:(1) On the basis of the collection and digestion of related literature at home and abroad, the thesis analyses the basic theory of strip rolling mill thickness control as well as formation and control method for several kinds of rolling mill.(2) Taking Tian Gang3500mm finishing mill group as the research object, this thesis studies the basic situation of finishing mill and computer control system, and gives a comparatively complete rolling mill control system according to the function of each link(3) Combined with actual project and analysed the cause of slabs thickness differences, the method of fuzzy control is applied to AGC control system to establishe a relatively perfect hydraulic AGC mathematical model of dynamic system.(4) The AGC system of the fuzzy PID control in the field of experimetal running with the traditional PID control results are compared to verify the correctness of the mathematical model, and carry on applied analysis.
