Iron and Steel is widely used in our country and it plays an important role in the economy field. That is to say, the production level of iron and steel is an important sign to weigh the industry, agriculture, national-defense and technology of a country, especially the product technology of slab indicates the development of a country.With the development of computer control technology, computer control systems are widely used in metallurgy process to improve quality and gain benefit. This is the only way metallurgy factory should follow. Based on the hydraulic AGC project of 900mm Reversible Plate Rolling mill of ChuanWei Plate rolling plant, this paper summarizs the development and presents actuality and researching trend in AGC technique for Plate mills, after referring to a great deal of data domestic and overseas. Based on the actual control demands of the Plate rolling process, the AGC theory and the problems in AGC's application are discussed. The main contents of this paper include the following parts.This paper analyzes the principle of eliminate thickness error, and discusses the concept of equivalent stiffness and variable stiffness Based on these, this paper discusses several Kinds of algorithms on pressure AGC in detail and gives necessary theoretical derivation. This provides the theoretical basis for the system designing and debugging. For the importance of the hardware configuration in the engineering project, this paper introduces the configuration of the computer system, sensor configuration and their performance parameters. introducing concept of fuzzy control in the AGC system design. and Pi-type controller, the intelligent compounded controller is applied in hydraulic AGC system of cold Plate Rolling mill. Simulation experiment indicates that the ability of the intelligent compounded controller is better than that of the common PID controller, which provides a new approach for the thickness precise controlling in cold Plate Rolling system...
