With the development of social economy, the oil shale has already become a kind of important resources, and it plays a major role in providing fuel and heat energy. In addition, if we use the oil shale unreasonably, the abandoned oil shale would self-ignite, fume and pollute the environment. Therefore, oil shale carbonization industry is received more and more concern. The output of shale oil is depended on the quality of control, especially the quality of temperature control. Therefore, the temperature control in retorting is of great practical significance.The thesis takes refining production line in shale oil refining factory as the background, and it expounds the process, structure composition and operating principle of ATP retort. The characteristic of energy saving and environmental protection of ATP retort is obtained based on process research. And then it is puts forward the difficulty in controlling temperature of shale retort. It takes the temperature control as the main part of shale retort. Then the thesis starts from conventional control method, introduces PID control and cascade control system of the temperature control system of shale retort, especially focuses on the analysis of cascade control’s application in temperature systems, which includes the selection of master control object and vice-control object. Through the analysis of shale retort, it has determined to use the supply of air as retorting process control parameters. Because the temperature control system of the shale retort has the features of inertia, delay and the system’s accurate mathematical model is difficult to obtain, this thesis applies the fuzzy control as intelligent control algorithm in the temperature control system of the shale retort based on cascade PID control system. So this thesis attempts to design fuzzy PID controller based on cascade PID control system. It not only maintains the simple, adaptable advantages of PID, but also self-regulates the PID controller parameters to adapt to changes in the retorting process model parameters.Finally, through the Matlab simulation, compared with the traditional cascade PID control, dynamic response, adaptive capacity and anti-jamming capability of the fuzzy PID controller are analyzed. The simulation results indicate that the fuzzy PID controller not only has smaller overshoot and shorter settling time, but also has better anti-interference ability and adaptive capacity. It can achieve good control effect.
