Photonic crystal fibers has the single mode operation, high birefringence,high nonlinear performance and dispersion compensation effect, especially photonic crystal fibers that doped with a little mount of rare earth oxides become a hot research topic in recent years.We have carried out in silicate glass based photonic crystal materials, because photonic crystal fiber are used in optical fiber laser,amplifier ect.At the same time, the high rare earth ion doping concentration,the high refeactive index and good spetral properties of Yb3+-doped photonic crystal fibers are prepared.The level structure simple Yb3+as the doping ions are choosed it in the experiment, in theory does not exist concentration quenching and the excited state absorption, the silicate glass for Yb3+has high ion solubility.The main context includes:Yb3+-doped silicate glass that has heterogeneity is prepared by high-temperature melting method,after grinding,polishing,the density,differential thermai and other physical performance parameters of silicate glass were texted,and the spectra properties of absorption and fluorescence were also texted.According to analysis,dicussion and calculation the texted results,we choosed out the suitable parameter including the absorption cross section σabs,the emission cross section σemi, the integral absorption cross section Σabs..Through the optimization,we choose the most suitable for3mol%as photonic crystal fiber core material formula,as follows: SiO2/39.51-B2O3/16.5O-Al2O3/1.94-K2O/11.65-Na2O/5.82-BaO/17.47-TiO2/1.94-ZnO/1.94-Sb2O3/0.29-Yb2O3/3(mol%)。The photonic crystal fiber was drawing,the got fiber core,inner cladding, outsourcing layer was texted.
