Recently, petroleum-refining industries raise the requirements for safety constantly. Especially in some core areas like catalytic cracking, compressor is critical power central equipment as the heart of the entire plant. Once fails, it will cause tremendous loss.Controlling system as the brain of compressor system, on the ground that it should guarantee the stability for the entire system, is to provide the advanced controlling scheme in order to save energy consumption at large degree. In China petroleum-refining industries, traditionally, compressor system utilized mixed type controlling system, which is usually with low reliability, large amount of maintenance and low level of automation. In view of the points above, users urgently expect the advanced controlling scheme.Taking the example of compressor controlling system for catalytic cracking device for SINOPEC GROUP YANGZHOU PETROLCHEMICAL REFINING CO., Ltd, the article introduces the turbine compressor structure and working philosophy in detail. Integrating with the real situation of the project above, this article also introduces the researches for hardware status, structure constitution, logic realization and monitoring system etc for controlling system.In the above system, we adopt the SIMATIC PCS7as the developing tool. It features high efficiency for controlling and high stability, which is widely used for controlling system in large petrochemical industries. This article systematically states that how to realize anti-surge and speed adjusting. As per the real situation and improved base on the former controlling system, we used Siemens SCL language to successfully develop Siemens independent function unit with auto-surge and speed adjusting for the first time.Besides, the compressor controlling system stated in this article has already been adopted in the real production and the petrol-refining device has already been put into production. This controlling system achieves a lot than the project targets and customer requires. And it is well-appraised by users with its reliable stability, user-friend controlling mode and accurate controlling efficiency.
