The Research Of Centrifugal Compressor Anti-surge Control System

Centrifugal compressor is widely used in several fields.Although it have some advantages,but there are several drawbacks such as surge and the efficiency decrease.Surge is an Abnormal phenomenon which happened when the characteristic curve of the pump and the characteristic curve of the pipe network does not match.The damage of it have major effect,When it's light it can create noise and affect the normal production,When it's serious it can destroy the mechanical equipment.The safety and stability of centrifugal compressor are deserved closely watched.Therefore,the research of the surge have the great significance.In order to avoid the harm caused by the surge,effective measures must be taken.This paper introduces the principle of centrifugal compressor and the flow process in the compressor.Secondly discussed the principle of surge,through the analysis of the characteristic curve to find the root cause,introduce?categorize and analyze the factors that influence the surge,then introduces the normal used measures.Thirdly,the paper further research the factors that affect the surge,and find out the economical,simple and reliable solution.This paper introduces the advanced anti-surge PID controller and the measuring control instrument.Finally,According the passive control concept we adopt the universal performance curve method to research the anti-surge control system,by TRICON TS3000 control system to configurate and realize control function and shows the control results.Anti-surge control system is tested and the surge effect is very good,which can effectively identify surge precursors and carries on the effective control and effectively ensure the safe and economical operation of the compressor.
