Strip correction device is most significant and important strip production line equipment; it is used to ensure the strip trouble-free transmission and protects the steel production quality. Continuous annealing line’s furnace correction control system for MeiGang cold rolling factory was designed to improve in this paper.Annealing furnace is operated at about900degrees, and its inside is covered with dust. Original strip corrective devices are made of capacitive type transducer which is susceptible by the iron oxide dust and the temperature, and their actuators are pneumatic with big shock make cylinder easily to be damaged, the valve easily to plug, the actuators are susceptible parking. Moreover, limit-style correction is easy to cause the collision marks or crush injury of strip, which may affect the quality of strip.Keeping these main problems of original strip corrective devices, the strip corrective devices were designed to improve with following aspects:(i) The deviation of strip furnace was studied in order to analyze the impact of strip deviation in annealing furnace annealing, and the corresponding improvement and optimization were carried out.(ii) The aircrew was transformed according to the existing conditions to improve the operating speed of the unit. Then, a corrective control system was designed between SR6and SR7.Moreover, the original pneumatic system was transformed by using pneumatic hydraulic servo mechanism to implement strip centering control. The hydraulic servo system, in accordance with the basic requirements, was designed. On the basis of major hydraulic components, the design of the hydraulic system was also verified.
