The "six major system" for safety refuge in coal mines are complicatedhuman-machine-environment-management systems which are multilevel, multi-factor andmultivariate. They are consisted of six subsystems correlated with each other and lots ofuncertain information is involved in them. Therefore, the comprehensive evaluation of "sixmajor system" to be used during the safety evaluation of coal mine "six major system" isproposed combining the analytic hierarchy process with the unascertained measureevaluating method proposed based on unascertained mathematics theory and the analysis ofthe "six major system".It is the most important to establish the evaluation index system and determine the factorsof the weight of each evaluation index when the unascertained measure evaluating methodis used to assess "six major system" in coal mines. According to accident theory and therelationship of every subsystem, the safety evaluation index system for safety evaluation ofthe "six major system" is established. The improved analytic hierarchy process is used todetermine the weights of evaluation factors, which will make the weight assignment ofevery evaluating indicator more scientific and reasonable. Besides, unascertainedcomprehensive evaluation model for safety evaluation of the coal mine "six system" isestablished based on the unascertained measurement theory. The safety level of everyevaluation factor is divided and the unascertained measure function of the evaluationindexes is constructed. Thereupon the measure matrix of every index can be got. Combiningwith the weight of every index factor, unascertained measurement vector is obtained. Finally with the introduction of the confidence criterion, the evaluation results can bejudged. The unascertained comprehensive evaluation method is applied to assess the "sixmajor systems" of a coal mine experienced rectification in Shanxi. The unascertained measurement vector is=(0.235,0.709,0.056,0,0) and according to the confidencecriterion, the safety level of the "six major system" is Level two, indicating better. Examplesshow that comprehensive evaluation method of unascertained measure is simple, feasibleand effective which improves the practicality and scientific of the safety evaluation for thecoal mine "six major systems". The method can be widely applied to the safety evaluationof the "six major system" for safety refuge in coal mines in order to effectively prevent andcontrol the accidents which is of great significance to reduce casualties and property losses.
