Nowadays, the earth’s land energy and mineral resources drop off gradually, and human’sresources development change from land to sea gradually. The ocean contains rich resourcesextremely, is great wealth to human from the nature. But with human’s continuous exploration anddevelopment to marine, it is accompanied with environment issue. In order to protect the marineenvironment and to utilize the marine resources sustainable, the development of marineenvironment monitoring technology has become an important part of global marine technologyprogress. Because of the marine environment is complicated, the marine environment monitoringtechnology is needed to be well improved. In recent years, with the development of sensortechnology and ocean data transmission technology, environmental monitor has been made possible,which has the feature of comprehensive, long-term and real-time. This paper designed a set ofMarine environment monitoring sensor network observation system based on seawater mediumcoupling communication technology, multi-sensor information fusion technology, dual bus reliabletransmission technology and long-distance real-time transmission control technology. Aims toprovide a underwater multi-node network communications technology to improve the capability ofdistributed marine environmental monitor.This paper provide a scheme which using CTD sensor and dissolved oxygen sensor as thesource of monitor, including the underwater data acquisition node, gathering node, couplingcommunication module, Iridium satellite communication module and the embedded monitoringplatform. This system mainly have two functions: the first one is acquire, store and send datathrough double network which stand by for each other, the second one is communicate with theembedded monitoring platform to receive and dispatch status information and order.This article mainly complete the following sections: underwater node’s hardware and softwaredesign embedded monitoring platform’s peripheral hardware design and system construct,communication protocol design, interactive software design and system debugging.Underwater node based on the STM32F107VCT6. The power supply circuit, serialcommunication circuit, CAN bus communication circuit,Ethernet bus communication circuit andMicro SD card storage circuit should be designed.Embedded monitoring platform based on the S5PV210. The extension circuit should bedesigned, including power supply circuit, serial communication circuit, USB HOST interface circuit,SD card storage circuit; Ethernet interface circuit and LCD interface circuit.Communication protocol is divided into four layers, provide reliable transport mechanism,guarantee the reliability of data transmission between each underwater nodes and the embedded monitoring platform.Underwater node’s software realize the goal of sensor data collection, storage and forwarding,automatic intelligent switch between the main network and the stand by one, interact with user.Embedded monitoring platform based on embedded Linux. The loader program should bedesigned, the Linux kernel and driver should be transplanted, and the root file system should bemade.Interactive software is designed for receiving and storing data, real-time charts displaying andremote controlling the collection system.In the debug part of the paper, it first debugs software and hardware of each module, thendebug the whole data transceiver in the library. Finally, it confirmed the Marine environment sensornetwork observation system has reached the expected goal in this paper.At the end of this paper, it reviews and summarizes the job these tasks have done, and pointsout the existing deficiency and the improving direction in future.
