Research Of Integrated Management Of Lai’an Quarry Environment

Due to the emergence of the "fog" at present, the issue of environmental pollution is becoming a hot topic of the whole society. In recent years, however, the urban landscape and eco-system have been damaged severely because of excessive mining of mineral resources, what’s worse, it is common that people in some places even have the perception that they can make sacrifices of destroying the surroundings in order to earn money. Whether they can place the environment in the right place and realize the win-win situation of economic development and environmental protection tests the ability of the governors responsible for protecting the environment. Only by grasping the causes of problems, formulating practical policies, and firmly implementing these policies according to the environmental protection standards, can we reach the targets of the win-win situation of environmental protection and economic growth. Mine geological environment problems are the focus of social attention and hot issues. Strengthening management of mine geological environment and recovery and promoting development and utilization of mineral resources and geological environment protection in harmony are the necessary requirement of sustainable development, and also the prerequisite and the base for realizing the harmonious unification between human and nature and building a harmonious society. In combination with such a social background, the author chose Lai’an County in Anhui province as the research example, and then put forward corresponding countermeasures via doing thorough research on present situation and problems of the quarry ecological environment. This essay mainly can be divided into six parts; the first part expounds the source and background of the selected topic, and introduces the research methods and ideas, then analyzes and summarizes the environmental management experience at home and abroad. At the end of this part the author provides advisory opinions concerning to the specific measures. The second part gives the basic concept of quarry and theoretical basis, mainly introduces the theory of government environmental responsibility and lays a solid theoretical foundation to the research of the full text. The third part of this paper introduces the general situation of the study area, mainly includes two aspects of natural geography and social economic development. The fourth part presents the present situation of environmental problems of the quarry. The fifth part analyzes the present situation of the specific reasons in Lai’an County quarry. The sixth part puts forward specific opinions on the solution to the environmental governance of Lai’an County quarry. The author hopes this research can provide environmental governance and comments for Lai’an County quarry.
