Nowadays, surface mine bench blasting has become the main mining method. The quality, cost and safety control level of the blasting operation restrict the safety and stability of the mine. Based on relative mining and blasting theories, and the comprehensive evaluation method, this thesis assesses the blasting operation with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. It finds weak control links of blasting and mining operation from the perspective of evaluation, and finally achieves the purpose of improving the blasting operation.Firstly, the comprehensive evaluation index system of surface mine blasting is built. Evaluation system is the basis of evaluation. The surface mine blasting operation comprehensive evaluation index system, which contains3primary indexes and13secondary indexes, are established with the theoretical research and the expert consultation method. TISCO Yuanjiacun iron ore is chosen as the object to establish the membership function of each index. Thus the restriction is overcome of random selection of indexes and determination of membership function. This provides the basis for the scientific and objective evaluation of surface mine blasting operation.Secondly, the surface mine blasting operation evaluation system index weight is constructed with the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). Based on the features of the TISCO Yuanjiacun iron ore, the author selects five representative experts and establishes the index weight of the judgment matrix. The weight of each index is then established with the averaging method.Finally, the blasting operation status of TISCO Yuanjiacun iron ore is evaluated with the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. The result is average. The operation basically complies with the quality requirements, and is consistent with the actual situation. According to the evaluation, the author defines the concepts of index weight and the weight deviation. The weak control indexes are comprehensively analyzed as excessive toe, backbreak and blasting output per meter hole. The corresponding solutions are put forward after detection, measurement, and theoretical analysis, to achieve the purpose of improving the current situation of the blasting operation.
