The pipe bending machine described in this paper is a molding machine that large diameter thick-walled steel pipes are heated and bent to a certain arc bending tube by medium-frequency power supply. Our products are widely used in petroleum, petrochemical, urban construction and so on. Therefore, the performance of the products must be safe and reliable; Bending pipe must guarantee high precision control; The continuity of the system must be stable and feasible; Pipe production rapidity must ensure good quality; Security, reliability and accuracy of bending equipment directly affects the efficiency and quality of bending pipe. all of these depend on the reliability and accuracy of the design of the bending device itself, and rational design of control system design.On the basis of a full analysis of pipe bending machine molding process, its characteristics and the major disturbances during the study of the pipe bending machine, a pipe bending machine electrical control system was designed and based on PLC and industrial control computer. The main contents are as follows:After analyzing pipe bending machine system component and process we propose an electrical automatic control program of pipe bending machine. The hardware system is based on PLC and lower position machine procedure is based on the STEP7, including design of heating systems, hydraulic control system and push control system.The theoretical of heated temperature and velocity of the pipe bending machine control system has been analyzed and its mathematical modeling was established. Variable integral PID algorithm is introduced to make push-tube speed to follow heated temperature changing. We have used WINCC software to work out PC procedure which is in order to monitor the production process of the heating temperature, speed of pushing the tube, frequency current, power frequency voltage and intermediate frequency power in time. PLC can communicate with each other which make PC easy to display, set and save parameters.In the actual production process, the bending machine electrical automatic control system we designed is reliable and it satisfies the process requirements and improves production efficiency.The system makes full use of high reliability, powerful performance and other advantages of PLC and reasonable control algorithms of PLC. The pipe bending machine electrical automatic control system has taken full advantage of PLC. It has a certain value in engineering. Combined existing resources and theoretical knowledge, results we have got comply with engineering requirements and it is able to meet the market demand.
