In recent years, As the speedy development of national economy and the escalation ofpeople’s living standard, the motor vehicle population in city has growed rapidly, motorvehicle emission has become one of the important factors affecting the quality ofatmospheric environment. It has become an urgent problem researching motor vehiclepollution control for regional characteristics and drawing up the regional motor vehiclepollution control measures reasonably. The paper, target for quantitative research of vehicle pollutant emissions inZhengzhou, based on domestic and foreign study results about vehicle polution, throughdetailed investigating about vehicle population, vehicle flowrate, vehicle mileage, andenergy service of Zhengzhou, selecte the appropriate emission factors, establishe vehicleemission inventory of Zhengzhou, calculate the discharge amount and sharing rate ofvehicle emission, and analyze the characteristics of vehicle emission in detail. The resultindicates that:(1)The total discharge amount of vehicle in urban area were:CO5.28×104t/a,NOX1.61×104t/a,HC0.87×104t/a;The total discharge amount of vehicle in all citywere:CO21.9×104t/a,NOX3.6×104t/a,HC4.9×104t/a.(2)The sharing rate of vehicle inurban area achieved:CO76.5%,NOX44.5%,HC58.2%;The sharing rate of vehicle in allcity achieved:CO74.9%,NOX27.2%,HC67.0%。(3) In all city or in urban area, theproportion of car emission was basically the same according to vehicle type, fuel type andemission standards. The main features of the motor vehicle emissions were:The CO and HCemission of light cars account for larger proportion, because of its large ownership, highfrequency and long mileage; The ownership of heavy cars is low, but its emission of NOXaccount for larger proportion; The CO and HC emissions of gasoline vehicles account fordominance, the NOXemission of diesel vehicles account for1/2or more; The contributionrate of vehicle emission before1st stage standard is larger, CO and HC about1/2or more,NOXalso nearly30%;In all city, cars are still the main source of vehicle emission,Incounty, since the number of motorcycle still account for a certain percentage, its CO andHC emission account for1/2or more, but the NOXemission of motorcycle contributesmally;(4)The city bus emission still had a certain proportion, due to the special nature ofownership and operating conditions,In particularly its NOXemission accounted for15%oftotal,so city bus should be focused on strengthening supervision. The paper also analyze the impact of motor vehicle pollution for atmospheric environmental quality according to the atmospheric environment automatic monitoringdata of Zhengzhou.Currently, the urban air quality is also affected largely by the coalburning in Zhengzhou. However, with the rapid increase of vehicle population, the impactof vehicle pollution on urban atmospheric environment become increasinglyprominent.Inside, the average concentration of CO is higher, closing to the secondarystandard limits; The concentration of NO2increased year by year, it has occurred in theheating period that the average daily concentration exceeded the standard limits,Theexceeding frequency and duration of O3concentration increased, the O3concentration isprone to exceeding especially in the condition of no wind, high temperature and strongsolar radiation in summer. Finally, combined with the actual situation of Zhengzhou, the paper propose thecontrol measures of motor vehicle pollution, providing reference for the management anddecision-making,including improving emission control technology, improving vehicle I/Msystem,strengthening supervision of key industries, accelerating the elimination ofhigh-emission vehicles, promoting the use of cleaner fuel, improving the road capacity,Etc.
