Organosilicon surfactant is a new type of surfactant with new structure, the organosiliconsurfactant has better hydrophobicity, high and low temperature resistant performance, lesssusceptible to UV and ozone decomposition, and long lift, etc. Among the organosiliconsurfactant, the polyether modified silicon surfactants have got the attention and beenresearched. In this research, a series of polyether modified silicon surfactants had been designed andcomposed with hydrosilylation. Firstly, terminal hydrogen silicone oil (n=3~4and n=10~12)and allyl polyethenoxy ether (n=10and n=20) had been used to synthesize organosiliconsurfactants (A1~A4). Through the analysis of single factor and orthogonal design, the optimalreaction conditions: The silicione surfactants (A1~A4) had been synthesized when then(terminal hydrogen silicon oil): n(polyether) was1:1, the temperature was80°C, the amountof the catalust was6ppm of the total mass, and the reaction time was5h. And A2in theorganosilicon surfactants (A1~A4) had best properties, and it had lower surface tensioncompared with general surfactant OP-10.Secondly, the organosilicon surfactants (A1~A4) had been used as emulsifier in thestyrene-acrylate emulsion polymerization, and the effect of different dosage(wt%,1%~5%) onthe properties of styrene-acrylate emulsion was studied. The results showed that theorganosilicon surfactant A2had best properties, and when the dosage of A2had been4%ofthe monomer, the monomer conversion could be98.6%,the gelation rate of emulsion were0.87%,the stability of emulsion became higher were stable, the average of emulsion particlesize could be70.7nm, and the water absorption of the styrene-acrylate emulsion film wasdecreased to10.8%, and defoaming times was18.3s, had higher surface tension, shorterdefoaming time, lower water absorption and better water resistance than the styrene-acrylateemulsion with emulsifier OP-10.Third, the organosilicon surfactants (A1~A4) had been used to composed the defoamingagents (B1~B4). The selection and dosage of the silica and the dosage of organosilicon surfactants on the performance of the defoaming agents had been researched. The dosage, thepH, the temperature and the different performance in different foaming liquid of thedefoaming agents had also been researched. And the properties of the self-made defoamingagents were compared with the defoaming agents sold in the market. Ultimately thedefoaming agents (B1~B4) had been prepared by using the dosage of the organosiliconsurfactants (A1~A4)25%of the total mass, the fumed silica content of6%. And the defoamingagents had best properties in defoaming and restrain bubbles when they were used at90°C ofthe neutral liquid and the amount were0.2%of the foaming liquid.
