The paper combines theory and practice,and makes systematic research on the theory related to watershed health and its evaluation method,combined with the remote sensing interpretation of technical means,according to catchment scale unit of Qingshui river basins (Yuanzhou region) carried out an evaluation of ecological health.Detailed assessment methods of watershed ecosystem health and its assessment processes.First evaluation to determine the object and scope of evaluation.Then based on the domestic and international watershed health assessment methods and their indicators,the paper constructs the watershed health evaluation system composed of the target layer,criteria layer and index layer in accordance with the actual situation of watershed.Target layer is a high-level overview of watershed health,being used to reflect the overall level of health of watershed, including water and land. Criterion layer reflects the attributes and levels of watershed health from different aspects, including "habitat structure,aquatic organisms and ecological pressure".The land includes four aspects of "ecological patterns,ecological functions and ecological stress." Index layer is composed of15qualitative and quantitative indicators. The watershed health is divided into five levels, namely:"excellent, good, fair good, poorer, poor",and develops specific indicators for each health evaluation grade standards.According to the intrinsic linkages between indicators and watershed health,the paper uses AHP to determine the weight of evaluation index. Among them, compared with the target layer,for the criteria layer,the most important factor in the watershed is"habitat structure",and its weight is0.410;the most important factor in the land is the "ecological pressure", and its weight is0.410.Then,the paper analyses the watershed according to the evaluation system,analysis of river basin the ecological health of each assessment unit,and finally,the paper uses comprehensive index method to make a comprehensive assessment for the ecological health of the watershed,gets the result that overall ecosystem health assessment index to44.2,ecological health ratings rank as a general.For the evaluation unit,Zhaike and Tanshan village ecological health index is highest,it’s61.7,its ecological health evaluation grade is good;Yuanzhou urban area,Pengpu,Kaicheng and Zhonghe town,townships index48.1,42.0,46.9and51.9,rating for General;Sanying and Touying town, the evaluation rating of poor. And diagnose the leading factor affecting their health or restrictive factor and it needs to be rational planning and management,then proposes adaptive management strategies and optimization measures according to the actual situation in order to eliminate the constraints of the health factors,making the watershed develop healthily and orderly and enhance the service capabilities.The research results of the paper make an analysis of the scope and extent of human impact on the ecosystem,identified the priority protection and management objectives in the watershed,which has practical significance for guiding the practice of maintaining watershed health.The work of the thesis can provide a theoretical basis for the health assessment and actionable and technical methods, and research results provide a reference for regional watershed health status,but also provide a series of relevant information for the future implementation of watershed health supervision and ecological restoration.
