Mineral resources plays a very important role in economic development. For a long time, mine operators of one-sided pursuit of economic efficiency, environmental protection consciousness, a large number of mines disorderly overexploitation, coupled with the mining technology and equipment is relatively backward, causing huge damage to the geological environment. The secondary geological environmental issues triggered by the development of mineral resources is very prominent. These environment problems for example coast slide, debris flow, ground collapse, water pollution, and ground water level drop, may reduce vegetation acreage, damage the zoology and water environment, and deteriorate human’s living space. All along mine environmental geological problems have become more serious, we must carry out mineral geologic-environment protection and constitute the countermeasure of prevention, reduce geologic disaster. So we can content the contemporary need of mineral resources, and also benefit for the sustainable economic development.This paper briefly discusses the policy measures and technical means to carry out the mine geological environment protection at home and abroad.Briefly elaborates the application of methods and technical advantages of the use of biological prostheses and geochemical engineering repair technology jointly controlling environmental pollution problems. On this basis, environment protection and recovery engineering of the pyrite mine in luopu area, xuyong county of luzhou city in sichuan province was taken for instance.Through the researching and accessing to the local geographical, meteorological, hydrological and other natural geographic, geological environment background, mining history of the status quo and mining technical solutions,The assessment of the status and the forecast evaluation of the mine geological environment were carried out in accordance with the relevant technical requirements.Based on the assessment conclusions, the recovery and management programs were putted forward. Through the mine geological environment management, will reach new cultivated land,woodland and construction land area of not less than80%of the total area of mining, the new farmland and woodland area of not less than45%of the total area of mining,improving the geo-ecological environment and people’s living conditions, promote the development of characteristic agriculture mine, and promote local people become prosperous and industrial restructuring and upgrading.
