| With the rapid development of the industry, scroll compressor which has the advantage of energy consumption, compact structure, and smooth operation is applied more widely. It has promoted the constant development of scroll the compressor industry. In recent years, many researchers improved the traditional scroll compressor and developed a new type scroll compressor in which the scroll profile is made of the combined profile. The scroll part is the key component of the scroll compressor, its processing and manufacturing has always been difficult for the manufacturing of the scroll compressor. Despite that some performance of the scroll compressor has been improved though the improvement and optimization of the scroll profile theory, manufacture of scroll becomes more difficulty. So the study of manufacturing of new type scroll becomes very important for the industrialization production of the scroll compressor.This paper analyzes the design idea of the hybrid wraps, which based on the meshing theory and the normal-equidistant-curve method. And a new hybrid wraps was designed that is composed of the circle involutes, the higher curve and the arc. Then, the3-D model and the mathematical model are established. Then, the processing technology of the scroll plate is designed based on the characteristics of the new hybrid scroll wraps. And different methods are adopted respectively to realize the rough and finish machining stage. For the rough machining of the scroll plate, the overall processing is completed with the processing module of the Pro/E. For the finish machining of the scroll plate, in view of the composition and characteristics of the new hybrid scroll wraps, the double circular arc interpolated method is proposed for fitting the hybrid wraps to complete the finish machining. The Matlab computer program is used to finish the fitting process, which can simplify the calculation process and improve the accuracy of calculation. Finally, the scroll plate is processed with the existing machine. At last the scroll plate is detected with three-coordinate measuring machine, and the test results show that the scroll plate is qualified. Using the double circular arc interpolated method to design the tool path can set the more accurate cutter location and obtain the smoother and more continuous tool path. Analyzing the finishing machining of the scroll part shows that the number of data points in the double circular arc interpolation method is less than that in the CAD/CAM software processing, so the former can reduce the number of new scroll tool path point and improve the machining effect. This provides a new method and idea for the manufacturing of new type the scroll. This method has both practicality and versatility. |
