In recent years,with the application of scroll fluid mechanical applications continue to expand.A lot of achievements have been made in the study of scroll profiles.More and more kinds of scroll profile are designed,the profile design method is also more and more practical,with the discovery of the normal distance theory,the designed profile has become even more complicated.Inevitably,the processing of the scroll profile becomes more and more difficult.Therefore,it is very important to use NC machining technology to complete the machining process of scroll lines.Based on the meshing principle of the scroll plate and the normal equidistant theory of the profile,This paper mainly studies the generation and processing of the three segment base circle involute scroll profile.The main research contents are as follows.(1)The mathematical model of the three segment base circle involute scroll profile is established by using the curvature function method,and the three-dimensional model of the scroll plate is created based on the 3D design software.According to the characteristics of the scroll profile,the numerical approximation method is used to process the vortex disk,and then based on the machining precision,the processing technology of the scroll plate is planned.(2)Taking into account the three segment base circle involute scroll profile can not be directly processed,we chose the double arc to fit it,The MATLAB software is used to complete the calculation process and then the tool path is designed,in this case,we can prepare the machining procedures of the finish machining.After this,we could use the existing processing equipment to complete the machining process of the scroll plate.Compare the double arc fitting with the single arc fitting method,it shows that the number of fitting nodes is reduced by 80%,the number of machining arc segments is reduced by 74%,and the fitting error is reduced by 95%,the fitting effect is better when using double arc fitting method.(3)At last the precision of the scroll plate is detected using the three dimensional coordinate measuring instrument and SJ-210 surface roughness measuring instrument,The surface roughness measurement results show that the surface roughness of the scroll tooth wall is 0.539 ?m,the surface roughness of the top of the scroll tooth and the bottom of the tooth is 0.420 ?m,and the surface roughness measurement results are less than 0.8 ?m.The results show that the scroll plate is well machined.In this paper,the generation and processing of the three section circular involute scroll profile are studied.Through the examination of machining accuracy and surface roughness,it is shown that the research results meet the requirements of design and processing of profile.So research content of this paper has certain reference value for the processing of the combined scroll scroll plate.
