Rapid prototyping for ceramic parts is an important application inthe field of rapid prototyping technology in ceramic. Currently, mostrapid prototyping equipment for ceramic materials need laser forming,the manufacturing and equipment cost are expensive, the requirementfor materials is also higher, it is difficult to achieve economic purpose.In order to solve this problem, a technology based on laminated speedcemented to product ceramic parts was proposed. The thesis was basedon the theory and a new kind of rapid prototyping machine for ceramicparts was designed, the device changed the dependence on laser formingand the situation of the expensive materials source. The successfuldevelopment of the device was with great value in rapid prototyping forceramic parts.According to the principle of laminated speed cemented modelingbased on paraffin, the system was divided into three parts: carvingsystems, material paving systems and control systems. The carvingsystems used CNC machine tools and controlled cutting tool to carvetwo-dimensional sectional profile; the material paving systems wasfixed on CNC machine tools and coordinated with it while working;each device was controlled by control systems automatically and theprocessing efficiency was improved.On the basis of analyzing operating principle of rapid prototypingfor ceramic parts and the positional relationship among othercomponents, the material paving systems was divided into threecomponents: hopper device, horizontal movement mechanism andvertical movement device, which were used to hold modeling material,roundtrip movement in horizontal direction of the hopper and decreased movement in vertical direction of the paving platform. All thecomponents were designed and assembled with Pro/E, the keycomponents such as ball screws, belt, stepper motors were selected andchecked and a virtual prototype device was obtained finally.On the basis of the simplified device, the model was analyzed inmotion simulation with ADAMS, the force and the actual workingconditions of the device were simulated, and the velocity andacceleration graph in vertical and force graph of screw for the pavingplatform were got, the results showed that the mechanism run smoothly,for the further information, the design was feasible. For the horizontalmovement device and vertical movement device, the static analysis wascarried out with Workbench, the amount of deformation and stressdistribution results were got under the limit load, and the pavingplatform was improved on a basis of the results.After analyzing the working principle of rapid prototypingmachine, in addition the process requirements and sequence movementprocess, the I/O of the PLC was allocated and the programme wassimulated for the machine with STEP7Micro/WIN32, the output resultsof the system were obtained, the results showed that the input and theoutput were consistent with the preset results, and the requirements ofautomatic control was satisfied.
