The rapid development of the knitted apparel fabrics and the high-style clothing requirements of people ask knitted fabrics for soft, comfortable, stable size, stereo vision and so on. There have already been many ways to appeal such requirements at home and abroad now. This paper will propose a simple introduction of them, and summarize their advantages and disadvantages, which leads to the topic of this paper -developing a new ply yarn which named parallel ply yarn to change the structure of ply yarn to make the knitted fabrics soft ,stable and have a good different visual performance.At the First stage of the research, I analyze the feasibility of spinning parallel ply yarn theoretically, not only including the features of yarn hairiness and swirl nozzle flow, such as jet speed, the flux characteristics, the distribution of the airflow velocity in the yarn road and the pressure distribution characteristics, but also the analysis of the movement of a single fiber in the process of wrapping the parallel ply yarns. And at the end of the analysis, I found a simulation of spinning parallel ply yarn.At the second stage, I progress the initial experiment of spinning parallel ply yarn. Considering that the jet-spinning machine can satisfy the request of spinning parallel ply yarn in many ways, I implement the experiment on a jet-spinning machine and then compare the parallel ply yarn with the traditional twist yarn and double parallel ply yarn. The result of the experimental is not ideal. Although some hairiness wraps around the parallel ply yarn, there still lot of hairiness is free, and wrapped not tightly enough. On the other hand, parallel ply yarn has more hairiness than the traditional twist ply yarn, and the strength of parallel ply yarn decline etc.The third stage is subject to design new nozzle to spinning the parallel ply yarn. In this experiment, in addition to various swirl nozzle designs, I induct a new nozzle which is used to make interlaced yarn, intended to make yarn hairiness emanative to mutual struggle for strengthening the hold of the ply yarn.The analysis of the experiment results focus on the yarn hairiness, yarn strength and so on. For the most important things of the study lay on the role of various nozzle and the feasibility of spinning parallel ply yarn rather than the effect of parameters, the method of analyzing the experimental results is rank sum test, whose emphasis is on the significant difference of different experiment programs.As the experimental analysis show, swirl nozzle can make the hairiness of yarn wraps around the parallel ply yarn well, particularly good in the double swirl nozzle program. Network nozzle can also conduct emanation of the yarn hairiness, making yarn hairiness mutual struggle and enhanced the strength of stability of parallel ply yarn. The second experiment through some new nozzles got a great improvement comparing the primary experiment on the jet-spinning machine. Both the swirl nozzle and the impactive nozzle used in the experiment play their valuable role.However, there are some problems in the process of research. For example, the design of the new nozzles and other equipment are not good enough, and the cooperation of them as well as the arrangement of their parameters needs further investigation.
