Analysis Of Roof Greening Technique And Design Of Water-saving Applying Model

In recent years, the rapid growth of global economy and the population boom result ingrowing contradiction with ecological environment. Buildings are becoming more and morewhile urban green spaces are reducing sharply, which leads to the deterioration of urbanenvironment gradually. The contradiction between the land used for greening and forconstruction has been the main restraining factor of urban sustainable development.The development of roof greening is restricted because the building which require roofgreening are old buildings and their roof structure is not suitable for complex roof greening,but roof greening’ cost is much lower than reconstruction’s. In consideration of these factor,water-saving roof greening characterized with lightweight, water saving and easy to take carewill be a trend of the development of roof greening.The thesis make a technique analysis of roof greening, including its structure, technology,plant configuration and maintenance. Based on learning about every aspect of roof greening,the author designed the water-saving garden roof greening model and simple model;meanwhile, the author hopes these two model will be helpful to the roof greening of Beijing’sexisting buildings. At last, the author shows a project she worked on in order to illustrate manyadvantages of water-saving roof greening such as green coverage increase and vertical spatialdiversity.At the end of writing, The author summarized and made further discussion on theapplication of water-saving roof greening, raised some unsolved questions, then proposedpersonal opinion on the general trend of water-saving roof greening’s development andanalyzed its prospect.
