A wind turbine generator system (WTGS) is one kind of mechanical device for converting wind energy to electricity. The characteristics of the power train of a WTGS influences energy conversion efficiency and electricity generation directly. Because of the special surrounding and complex load conditions that a WTGS suffered, wind turbine gearboxes have high fault rate and will be easily fail of running. Good dynamical character of a gearbox can lead the decreased of the gearbox fault rate and change the running stability.In this paper, the grid-connected doubly-fed WTGS gearbox is studied, which establish3D virtual model, and carry initial design check and dynamic character analysis for this gearbox. Mainly completing the following work:1)This paper calculates and checks1.5MW WTGS gearbox (three---with2planet gears and1hilical gear pair). In Romax Designer software environment, it takes basic dynamic characteristic analysis and establish gearbox virtual model for the overall structure and all levels gear pair. Through the dynamic analysis function of Romax, geting its natural frequency and corresponding vibration model, and discussing the influence of inherent characteristics on the structure resonance. On this basis, the natural frequency is calculated under different gear parameters condition, and the influence of the main gear design parameters on the natural frequency is analysed.2)Studying the planetary gears system design method based on phase tuning theory. Taking imitate analysis to dynamic characteristic of gearbox in phase tuning condition, and discussing the influence to natural characteristic by the planet gear train main parameters. This provides the technical support for improving transmission performance of transfer system and reducing system vibration and noise,.3)Taking initial design of5MW doubly-fed WTGS gearbox, and establishing3D virtual model by Romax Designer, calculating and analysing its dynamical characteristics. Then comparing the transmission ratio, dimensions, gear stress transmission moment and natural frequency with1.5MW WTGS.
