Along with the progress of scientific and technological civilization, the level ofhuman health has also been improved. Along with people’s average life expectancy hasbeen extended, a large population of aging issues is also increasingly apparent. Becausethe disease, age, illness, accident, the old age elderly and disabled who lost of activity.they need the help of a wheelchair to be able to return to normal daily life.The electric powered wheelchair is a kind of vehicle which is powered by storagecell and drove by motor. The electric powered wheelchair is easy-handling,stable-steering, non-pollution and low noise, it is the kind of means of transport.suitable for the elderly and the handicapped which are inconvenience in walking.Domestic research on the development of intelligent wheelchair techniques falls behindthe one of overseas a lot. As a result, it is very significant to develop high performance,low cost controller, while it also fills up the technique blanks of domestic intelligentwheelchair research technology.This test through the intelligent wheelchair technology research and developmentof the research at home and abroad, selected the intelligent wheelchairs drive structureas the control object of the task. By analyzing the brushless DC motor works, andresearch in the digital control technology and control strategy. In this paper, we designthe intelligent wheelchair driver system by TMS320F2812DSP (Digital SignalProcessor), Analysis of the structure of the drive system in accordance with its drivingprinciple of the mathematical model of the system, according to the technicalspecifications of the intelligent wheelchair requirements, Designed of the general designand select the appropriate device for the system design. Finally after the driver systemwas simulated and emulated by Matlab/Simulink, The corresponding program written inassembly language and C language tests waveform analysis and summary, to prove thefeasibility and correctness of the control method.
