We should strengthen thecity’s own characteristics and cultural construction, shaping the charming image ofthe city.Regional culture is a source of urban vitality. Therefore, the article starts fromregional culture, and Indicates the important role that deepening, highlights,reshaping identity of city, with analysis of the main factors and characteristics ofregional culture. It analyzed that how city identity system developing in recent years,to clarify that corporate identity system can’t meet the needs of urban developmentperspective as the theoretical basis to study the city’s identity. Then it highlightregional city identity system. It mainly substance composed of seven elements andthe four elements of Intangible. On this basis, we comply with the principle of thepeople, cultural heritage, cultural innovation and sustainable development. It’sproposed two-level culture bearer and material expression in the city recognitionsystem construction strategy. It included the mining and use of the regional culture,a number of activities in support of, and cultural expression in the material elements.Finally, Daqing City recognition system, for example, this research system with astrategic approach is applied to the practice, and some put the landless urbanrecognition system planning and research.
