With the opening up of the electricity market, electrical energy enter the marketas a commodity, electricity consumers pay more attention to power quality. The poorquality of electricity not only affect the safe and economic operation of the power grid,but also bring huge economic losses to the electricity sector and users. In addition, theoperation mode of distribution network makes important load node voltage sags havedifferent influence degree. So finding the best operating mode of the distributionnetwork to meet net loss and other constraints, making important load node sufferedvoltage sag affect a minimum, Is of great significance for the protection of the safeoperation of important loads.Considering the voltage sag of important load node effected by the distributionnetwork operation mode and taking into account the superiority of genetic algorithmsin handling optimization problems, this paper presents a distribution networkreconfiguration method based on genetic algorithms. The method can find an optimaldistribution operation mode, not only satisfies the distribution network constraint, butalso makes the important load sag of lowest degree. This paper uses IEEE16nodesystem as the example, build system model in MATLAB/SIMULINK and usesMATLAB programming to achieve the optimization method. The simulation resultsshow that the distribution network operation mode got by the proposed method cancontrol the distribution network loss within reasonable limits at the same time be ableto maximize the reduction of voltage sag of important load node. The method issimple and efficient, and it has important practical value.Taking into account a comprehensive analysis of power quality platform is notyet established, combined with the advantages of LabVIEW programming andinterface design, a LabVIEW-based power quality analysis system is developed in thispaper. This system adopts the mature power quality detection method for IEEECOMTRADE files to achieve the power quality index calculation analysis and resultdisplay. On the load loss caused by the power quality problems, this paper adopts themethod that based on the quality loss function to achieve continuous power qualitiesand voltage dip caused damage assessment. In the platform this paper shows thedistribution network optimization process considering voltage sags. The system is powerful and has strong applicability. It has important practical value.
