| Jacket structure is widely used in oil production platform, which has strongstiffness, good entirety and good resistance to winds, waves and currents. In recentyears, it has been used in open sea wharf. In order to save cost of transport, floatingmethod is often used rather than by a barge.A mathematical model is proposed for the simulation of floating jacket on the seaenvironment. In the model, the jacket is considered as a rigid body and wave andcurrent are the main loads. The governing equations are established for the movementof the jacket based on the rigid body dynamics, wave and current loads are estimatedby Morison theory. Cable force is estimated by Wilson theory, and tugboat issupposed traveling in constant speed. The governing equations are solved by the4thorder Runge-Kutta method. The displacements in6degree of freedom and the forceof the mooring rope are simulated. The force of the line is compared with themeasured result, which shows good agreement. |
