The Study On Regional Landscape Planning

In today’s urban construction, the landscape planning has become an essence part.And on different scales and levels, a variety of theoretical approaches of landscapeplanning have also been brought up. The different landscape planning projects, fromsmall-scale site planning to large-scale green site system planning, are all in full swing.A good urban landscape is a vibrant place for people to go, a network to carry urbanecosystem and a medium to highlight the image of the city and reflect the culture of thecity. However, the Regional Landscape Planning, a planning method from a moremacro level to co-ordinate and control the landscape, is a relatively new topic in Chinaand rare practical related projects can be found in this field too. On the basis ofspecifying the notation and the characteristics of the Regional Landscape Planning, thispaper attempts to explore the planning theories and methods to provide some valuablereferences to the actual projects related to the regional landscape planning in the future.First, the paper defined the concept of regional landscape planning, analyzed thecharacteristics of the regional landscape planning and discussed its main problems inthe real life. Second, it learned from the previous relevant theoretical and practicalresults, and is summarized and sublimated. Third, focusing on the research of the"Landscape Conceptual Plan for the Yulin River", the paper discussed from the level ofmacro, meso and micro about the planning method and further summed up the overallframework of the regional landscape planning and planning strategies.This paper consists of five sections. The general structure is as follows:The first section contains Chapter One and Chapter Two, which first specify thatthe object of this paper is relatively larger-scale regional landscape compared to generalones, then summarized the significant characteristics between regional landscape andgeneral landscape, and proposed the main problems arising from the regional landscape.The second section contains Chapter Three, which analyzed and learned from therelevant theories and typical case study of the regional landscape planning abroad, andhence summarized the theory methods of regional landscape planning on four aspects:ecology (ecological health), formats (vitality spaces), modality (cultural pluralism), andmorphology (visual infection).The third section contains Chapter Four, which summarized the essences and theoverall framework of the regional landscape planning, posed relevant strategic methods from the three levels of macro, meso, micro, and tried to solve the major problem inexistence.The fourth section contains Chapter Five, which sorted out and analyzed the"Landscape Conceptual Plan for the Yulin River". More precisely, through the analysisof its overall plan for positioning, sub-specialty for constructing and the levelprogressive control of the landscape elements, this section gave an in-depth study of theregional landscape planning project in practice.The last section is the conclusion, which concludes the main results as well as theinadequacy of the paper.
