Ultrasound can be used for treatment based on its mechanical action, pyrogenicaction, physical and chemical actions. The ultrasound with different frequency hasdifferent attenuation coefficient. This leads to the different entering depth, and thencauses different ultrasonic actions, as a result, produces different efficacy. With therapid development of electronic information technology and the increasing concernthat people focus on their own health, the field of ultrasonic treatment meets the goodopportunity of development, and the research of miniature, intelligent, dual-frequency ultrasonic therapy instruments has important practical significance notonly to meet the need of the market but also to treat various diseases.According to the research of the therapeutic mechanism of ultrasonic therapyinstruments and the current situation at home and abroad, we targeted the technicalparameters of the system and draw out the design scheme. The system takes the PICmicrocontroller as the core. The dual-frequency sine wave signal used as excitingsource is generated by the high-integrated frequency synthesizer named AD9850. Itis amplified by programmable amplifier and power amplifier. After the step of theimpedance matching, it acts on the transducer. To prevent the no-load of transducer, the design contains no-load protection circuit. Microcontroller will cut off output andgive out sound and light alarm once no-load. According to the demand of differentpower and voltage stability, the power amplification part adopts switching powersupply and the rest of the hardware adopts linear power supply. The system embracesindependent keys, LCD, and can complete ultrasonic treatment with differentfrequencies, methods, power and time through keyboard and microcontroller. Thesystem software uses C language under MAPLAB-IDE development environment.Based on the existing conditions and equipment, we test the performance by theexperiments. The results show that all the technical indexes included stability, accuracy, safety meet the design requirements.
