Due to the limitation of vehicle’s space and application environment, the motordrive system of electric vehicle needs to meet better performance, greaterweight/volume density and higher operating temperature. For these reasons, the motordrive system based on automotive microcontroller TC1782is designed.The development of electric vehicle and motor drive system is briefly described.Meanwhile, the structure, function and features of master chip TC1782are introduced.According to the functional requirements of automotive PMSM drive system and theproperties of TC1782, the hardware control circuit is designed, which mainly includesthe minimum system of master chip(clock circuit, power circuit, emulator interface,external expansion memory, etc), communication circuit, detection and protectioncircuit. Based on the hardware circuit, the software programs are designed in DAvEand Tasking VX-toolset for Tricore, which are the development environment ofTC1782. The software of motor drive system is devised in modules. The design ofmain program, PWM interruption, serial communication and CAN communication,fault protection, and resolver interface are completed.The function modules of motor drive system is tested based on the PC monitorsoftware and test platform we already have. The generation of PWM signal, theprotection of power driver, the test of communication and resolver interface moduleare completed. Experimental result shows that the motor drive system based onautomotive MCU has good reliability, quick response ability, and high integratedlevel.
