The folded plate frame structure is composed of flat shell elements according tocertain rules. It combines the advantages of folded plate structure, space trussstructure and shell structure, which is rich in structural style and has many advantagesin mechanical characteristics. In this paper, the mechanical properties of the hippeddouble layer folded plate frame structure are analyzed on the base of the Huo YuanjiaMartial Arts Halls.The affect on the hipped double layer folded plate frame structure with differentbearing restraint is analyzed by the finite element software Midas Gen. According tothe static analysis and dynamic analysis results, the batter bearing restraint will bedetermined. On this basis, the static analysis such as support reactions, memberstresses and nodes displacements of the hipped double layer folded plate framestructure are discussed.The impact of temperature effect on the hipped double layer folded plate framestructure is analyzed. According to the static analysis results of the structure under thegravity or the temperature effect, the impact of temperature effect on the supportreactions, member stresses and nodes displacements of the hipped double layer foldedplate frame structure is discussed.The dynamic performance of the hipped double layer folded plate frame structureis analyzed. The natural vibration property is obtained by the modal analysis and thereasonable mode number is determined. On this basis, the mode-superposition inresponse spectrum is carried out to analysis the dynamic response of the structure bothunder the one-dimensional earthquake action and three-dimensional earthquake action.The time history analysis method is also carried out as an additional checkingcalculation.The stability performance of the hipped double layer folded plate frame structureis analyzed. The Eigen-bucking analysis and nonlinear bucking analysis are carriedout to identify instability mode and critical load factor to obtain the stable bearingcapability of the structure.
