The hipped folded plate grid structure is one of the important types of space structures.It is of great engineering value to study the static and dynamic performance of this structure and effectively reduce horizontal reacting forces on bearings.In this paper,the finite element analysis method was used to establish the hipped folded plate grid structure model with rotating bearings or spring bearings.Structure models applied prestressed cables with spring bearings was established to be recherched.The key issues were recherched such as the static and dynamic performance and regularities of distribution of the horizontal reacting forces on bearings of the hipped folded plate grid structures under different boundary conditions or different load conditions,which provided important basis and technology information for the application of hipped folded plate grid structures similar.The main work and the conclusions include the following aspects:(1)Several hipped folded plate grid structure models were established in the MST software.The linear regularity of the horizontal reacting forces on bearings in hipped folded plate grid structures with spring bearings was given.The available range of stiffness of spring bearings this structure is 3000kN/m to 10000 k N/m.The thickness of the grid structure units may not meet the requirements of the relevant regulations according to the structural performance of the reticulated shell.(2)According to the research on the static performance by MIDAS software,compared with the structures with rotating bearings,the longitudinal and vertical displacement of the hipped folded plate grid structure with spring bearings increase by 126.72%,148.18% respectively and the vertical displacement increase by 115.64%.Compared with the hipped folded plate grid structures with spring bearings,the longitudinal horizontal displacement and transverse horizontal displacemen of the structures applied both prestressed cables and spring bearings decrease by 53.64%,58.67% respectively,vertical deflection decrease by 53.78%.Distribution area of the tension and compression bar is almostly consistent among hipped folded plate grid structures with rotating bearings,spring bearings or both spring bearings and prestressed cables.(3)According to the research on the dynamic performance,vibration modes between hipped folded plate grid structures with spring bearings or both spring bearings and prestressed cables are almost the same.For the first three modes,the structure with rotating bearings are mainly vertical vibration,overall rotation and vertical vibration,while structures with spring bearings or both spring bearings and prestressed cables are longitudinal,lateral horizontal vibrations and vertical vibration.The fundamental periods of the three types of hipped folded plate grid structures are 0.5707 s,0.9512 s and 0.9580 s.(4)In enclosure condition,the horizontal reacting forces on bearings in hipped folded plate grid structures reduce by spring bearings.And the horizontal reacting forces on bearings in hipped folded plate grid structures with spring bearings is further reduced by application of prestressed cables.The maximum horizontal reacting forces on bearings in hipped folded plate grid structures with rotating bearings,spring bearings or both spring bearings and prestressed cables are 4402.39 kN,196.80 k N and 97.10 kN.1.0DL + 0.5LL load condition is the key load condition among the analysis of the horizontal reacting forces on bearings in hipped folded plate grid structures.(5)Some conclusions have been drawn according to the elastic-plastic time-history analysis of the prestressed hipped folded plate grid structure with both spring bearings and prestressed cables?Under frequent earthquake,the horizontal reacting forces on bearings is greater than that of the response spectrum.Under rare earthquake,most of the bars of the structure are at the elastic stage,thus the prestressed structure has good seismic performance.The horizontal reacting forces and displacement on bearings are large,effective measures should be taken to prevent structural failure due to bearing failure if necessary.
