Interactive Design Based On External Data Acquisition And Processing

In the21st century, when the world has entered into the digital age, digitalbuildings emerge to our world continually. Data is one of the primary factors in thedesigning of digital building, and a variety of data constitutes the origin of digitalarchitecture. With the development of technology, through the collection, processingof data and using the data collected to generate the rudiment of architectural shape hasbeen achieved. Interactive design devotes to define a system, human behavior,interaction, and the mechanism of production, which concerns the interactiveexperience. In this article, the data collection will be the starting point beforearchitectural design, through the approach of a series of data processing to form visualinformation, and through the combination apply of digital information which inspirethe external data of architectural design process, information structure and generatearchitectural design scheme that based on the external data. To achieve this overallframework, this article will not discuss the complex issues of the design phase, but tosimplify the program design process to an interactive module design, which utilize"if-then" grammatical structure, by using programming language to achieve thecombination between external data and results output. Discuss external data changeson the design results, to achieve a feedback and optimization mechanisms after designand before building. On this basis, exploring computer module and the real-timeinteractive design, which enable to produce interrelated effects between the externalparameters and architectural entities, namely Real-time architecture interactiondesigning. In addition, through the analysis of this process from data acquisition,processing to obtain feedback will establish a circulating logic in its own range whichwill be as a pattern of buildings prior to construction.Based on the above purpose, the author utilizes literature combing, academicexchanges, case studies and other means of data acquisition and processing methods.Furthermore, on this basis, this thesis carry out a design logic test through the designof an interactive device "designed to interact with external data".
