Currently most of the communication equipments used in grid that all have thenetwork management systems, are connected by multiple nodes. Those networkmanagement systems dedicated in their own equipment are developed by theequipment manufacturer and independent and incompatible with each other. The usershave to learn the network system from different communication equipmentsmanufacturer, as a result this bring some potential threats to the grid communicationnetwork’s safety. We must establish a unified network management system above ineveryone network management system, thus the users can supervise all thecommunication equipments and the network nodes in the grid communicationnetwork. It will make the grid more secure.According to Inner Mongolia grid communication network technique,the paperpose a reasonable design about integrated network management system of which thebasic architecture includes a platform and four modules. They are data exchangeplatform, communication professional management module, communicationequipments management module, communication resource management module andintegrated communications monitoring module. Data exchange platform module,exchanging data and integrating form each module, extract and converse data in theaccess terminal and provide a services platform exchanging different formats anddatabases data. The communication professional management module can improveaccuracy and level of communication management by computerized data processing,standardized content and streamlined work. The communication equipmentmanagement module can achieve various communication managements processing byequipments running closed-loop process management. The communication resourcemanagement module can achieve communication-oriented business resourcemanagement by the standardized and normal managed communication networkresources data. The integrated communications monitoring module can achievecentralized monitoring multi-vendor equipment operating status and business-orientedalarm management in a unified interface by collecting, processing the information ofcommunication related equipment, circuits, systems, environmental alarms,performance. Integrated network management system, which not only has good scalability andstrong network function but also can make individual function according to thedifferent characteristics of the equipment specific needs, can monitoring andscheduling the whole communication network resource. The system will be built tomaximize the use of communications source and improve network quality andoperational efficiency of management. Thus it will provide solid transmission securityfor the grid.
