Aimed on the vacancy and urgency of current low-cost landscape projects designmanagement, this paper proposed a Systematic research method on small/medium-sized low-cost landscape project design management based on Marginaleffect. After Analyzing the characteristics of relationship between costs and value oflow-cost landscape project, this paper constructed a costs-value marginal effectsmodel, and proposed some instruments by space, technology and institution onlow-cost landscape projects management, including establishing the three-leveltechnical support system on basic technology, theme technology and key technology. The innovations of this paper consists three points. The First innovation is theresearch Perspective:(1) keep in step with the latest academic theory in the world;(2)Use Marginal Effect analysis as a new perspective, with the advantages ofmeasurable, comparability and operability;(3) Merger the knowledge of landscapescience, environmental science, economics and management science together, combine management disciplines and engineering disciplines. The second innovationis the research content:(1) Present a relatively integral evaluation method onlandscape spatial perceived value and the synthesized value, try to quantify thecomplex feelings on the landscape;(2) Established the landscape marginal cost-value analysis method to implement important management principles and methodson cost control in landscape projects;(3) proposed technical system of low-costlandscape projects management, which is relatively comprehensive summary on costcontrol by technical ways in landscape projects. The third innovation is the researchmethods:(1) combined the theoretical models with empirical research (construct thelandscape value model and the cost-value model,);(2) combined comparativeanalysis (Case Comparation) with state analysis ((different case characteristics);(3)combined trends analysis (trends of low-cost landscape) and state conformity(adjustment of low-cost landscape).
