Urban Landscape Design For Improving The Microclimate

Landscape architecture in urban area which provides habitat for our everyday life, is one kind of spatial experience in a relatively small scope. Urban landscape has very close relationship with people’s daily life. This passage mainly discussed the possibilities of building up a comfortable microclimate in urban area which based on the studies of relative elements in landscape architecture.This passage, first, describes problems happened in the urban climate, urban landscape and climate relationship in the urban area. Analyzing the characteristics of space, morphology which relate to the microclimate. Second, after analyzing the scientific data and correlation theory, demonstrate the scientific and practical significance to improve the microclimate-related landscape elements in the landscape space applications. And then, developing a theory which is conducted by the design process such as re-grading the topography, changing the water effects, improving the vegetation, and defining the pattern of material. Meanwhile, encourage visitors to engage in the project, provide a basic theory for designing microclimate and build up a measure that standard for microclimate.At last, based on the theory of improving the microclimate, analyzing the local microclimate, and present a proposal of the plan for improving the microclimate, we build landscape in "Hong Yi Wan Jia" community, and hope this project and theory can be a reference for the future design, and start up creating a program for designing the microclimate.
