Research On Environment Reform And Renewal Design Of Nanjing Xiaguan Railway Station Site

With the advancement of urbanization and the development of transportation science andtechnology, in order to alleviate the pressure of the traffic system in urban development, theemerging train line and the new high-speed rail network has led to the development of Nanjingrailway construction to the South, historic urban traffic space of Xiaguan railway station and itstransportation is shrinking until his outage. Meanwhile, Facing the transformation of old urbanriverfront in Xiaguan, as a nanjing protect cultural relics and urban industrial heritage, Xiaguanrailway station became the scar of urban renewal for environmental decay.With "The Bund of Nanjing" project carrying out in2011, Xiaguan officially entered thein-depth renewal stage of city, change the environment of idle railway station site has becomeone of problems that Nanjing government need to solve. Based on the research of railway stationheritage reform and contacted with Nanjing government of planning department, I tried to studywith the environment reform of Xiaguan railway station site. First of all, through the literaturesurvey combined with the actual case of domestic and foreign existing railway station site, thebackground and development of the railway environment, on the basis of summarizing the designconcept, the transformation technique and existing problems. Secondly, through analysing thesurroundings of the railway station site, investigation of site itself and value analysis, summarizesthe reason of its transformation immediately. Thirdly, analysis strategy of the environmentreform, including feasibility analysis about of transformation pattern, confirm the target anddirection of transformation, and the principle of renewal. Combination of the planningrequirements and development goals of the old urban reconstruction of riverfront in Xiaguan,choose optimum rating of Xiaguan railway station site reform model. And from the experience ofnanjing industrial heritage reform, the present situation of museum development and the publicintention of reform model investigation to find the best reform model is based on railway culturemuseum with public leisure space. And put forward to integrated with nanjing urban publicleisure space, show historical style of architecture, create interior expo, with the direction ofrailway culture experience and the target of public leisure space for comprehensive reform. Withthe seven principles of reform that is integrity, authenticity, context, ecological, participation,dynamic and comprehensive. Finally, give a specific design method to renovate the environmentof railway station site, and give the effect of assignment design and landscape design.Hope it can help the environment reform and renewal design of Xiaguan railway station site.
