As China’s economic growth and development of sports, at the same time that is accompanied by the deepening of the higher education system, the country launched a nationwide fitness peak with the Beijing Olympics successfully hold as a symbol, the construction of major university sports stadium shows a new trend:comfort, health, energy efficiency-people put the higher requirements of the stadium. In recent years, people are generally concerned about environmental and ecological problems, the concept about ecological conservation and sustainable development come into the architectural design, using the least energy to provide the most comfortable and healthy environment is an important goal of architectural design.University stadium in cold areas of ecological design is the only way to healthy development, but for versatile, high technology content, design ideas involving more variables, it makes the cold college sports has been the architect of ecological energy saving design so hard. Through field research, literature review, combination of design practice, the article explores the idea of sports buildings ecological and energy saving methods, making the investigation of the cold status of college sports and statistical analysis to identify the problems, at the same time it study this area deeply at home and abroad and understand of the status and direction of development, from both theoretical and practical, the research results will have an important significance to the development construction of University sports in cold area.Paper in an efficient diversity, eco-energy saving, sustainable, development principles to grasp the building planning and design of stadium. At the first, paper summarizes the adaptive strategy, architecture and building regional strain as the theoretical basis, drawing on the ecology of large public buildings strategies to form a more complete theory systems that is Eco Centre energy-saving in cold areas; followed by cold weather as the background, it is combined practical experience in that regard, the inner stadium design principles includes:the principle of efficient diversification, health of original, local conditions, etc. And then from the design energy, equipment, energy saving, renewable energy in three areas it constructs the eco-design strategy of stadium, which summarizes the design of sports buildings ecological energy saving mode, from multiple perspectives and on different levels to actively discuss the key issues that is the sports eco-energy saving, and gradually establish a sports building eco-energy saving design concept and objectives. Finally the building of a new campus stadium for the design practice, and program compliance with building appropriate principle, making full use of eco-technologies and passive measures, the final it designs the project to adapt to regional climate, and meeting the high comfort, low energy, sustainable construction, so that the cold of college sports ecological theory is with more practical operational. This paper summarizes the design methods of ecological energy college sports in cold regions from theory to practice for the lack of practical experience in cold regions stadium, daring to conduct a feasibility study, after the example in the extensive and careful summary, the paper is on the emphasis of building and climate relationship, and pays more attention to the program design and the integrated use of various technologies, while as reference of the large space design of public buildings ecological; the paper combines the theory technology to practice, starting from the design of their own issues, make the design of energy-saving in system. Architectural design should not be acquired to make up, but the design is before the practice.
