Sports Park Post Occupancy Evaluation Research

With the acceleration of urbanization, the outdoor activities space for people in the city becomes less and less. People are under work pressure and lack of exercise, the bodys are becoming more vulnerable. Research has shown that the best treatment of the comman fatigue syndrome is to do physical exercise in the green space. So with the theme of sports and leisure, the sports park conforms to the actual demand of urbanite, it effectively combines the green landscape and sports activities. For having complete sports facilities, sports park meets the needs of all kinds of people and provides them a relaxed and natural city green sports space. In the21century, sports park construction has boomed in our country. By the author’s survey, already more than one hundred of sports park were built or under construction in the domestic at present, did these built sports park meet the design purpose? whether it gave full play to the role of the function? At this stage, it’s necessary to do the post occupancy evaluation research on the built sports park. To find the existing problem and the dominant factors of affecting sports park use, it has the important significance to speed up the construction of sports park that better fit the demand of the public.This article firstly studied the documents, got advice from the experts and did investigation of the sports park, the indicator system of the evaluation was built. Then it took the post occupancy evaluation of Hangzhou north city sports park for example. The firsthand data were obtained by behavior observation, interview and308questionnaires, then the data were quantitative analyzed. It was found that:(1) The people coming to the sports park made the good overall evaluation, but the sports^adequate and systematic service facilities.(2) Factor analysis results showed that9common factors from the original evaluation system were extracted, and by the value of the variance contribution rate, the sports、adequate and systematic service facilities, the plant landscape, the water landscape, the security in park were the top four factors.(3) When users’gender or age was different, and whether users were lacal or not, the evaluation result did exist significant differences. When the users with different frequency came to the park, they made the consistant evaluation to the park. Lastly, based on the evaluation results, paper set sports park evaluation factors reconstruction, and put forward optimized measure to Hangzhou north city sports park status. Hoping the feedback of research conclusion can promote park design and raise the level of management, the paper may provide the reference to domestic new sports park construction and management, also the future sports park post occupancy evaluation research.
