This thesis is supported by the National Natural Science Fund Project--Based on the theory of "the modern colonial Changchun City Planning and building research’s branch study, to research my tutor’s research project deepen.This article through to research the Changchun Xinmin Street Manchukuo historic building background, theory and some other factors, to study the historic building spatial reorganization and functional regeneration conditions of Xinmin Street, the historical architectural form characteristics, external and internal environment, function conversion factors were studied, and to establish the system of overall research framework at the same time, the combination of domestic and foreign historical architectural space restructuring and functional regeneration of success and failure experience, and consider the Xinmin Street Manchukuo architecture’s unique situations, by a series of analysis to summarize, hoped through my research, to summarize some valuable and the use of theory, make Changchun Xinmin Street Manchukuo history construction in space restructuring and functional conversion to do better, and promote these historical buildings protection better.This paper consists of four chapters:The first chapter is introduction. This chapter is divided into five parts, the first partmainly introduces the origination of the topic of the paper, the second part introduces the purpose and significance of research, the third part introduced the present research situation of domestic and foreign, the fourth part of the thesis definite the scope and content of research; The last part of the paper is the research methodology and framework.The second chapter is to research the history and morphological characteristics of the Changchun City Street Manchukuo construction. Through Introduce the background details of puppet regime’s Manchuria construction in Changchun Xinmin Street,and overview of Changchun puppet Manchukuo background and Xinmin Street Manchukuo building, and then analyzing the value of the Xinmin Street puppet construction,and introducing and analyzing the morphological features and the evolution of morphological in Xinmin Street.The third chapter is the analysis of space reorganization andfunctional regeneration in Xinmin Street of Manchukuo buildings. This chapter is divided into six parts, the first part is the reorganization of space and the interpretation of the concept offunctional regeneration, the second part is the classification of the functional regeneration of spatial restructuring by mode, including vertical partitioning、 horizontal partitioning and division of the integrated three modes types. The third and fourth is the classification of the reorganization of space built in thefunctional regeneration type and function of the type of regeneration, the fifth part is the significance of functional regeneration, including the continuation of the historical context, to promote economic development, updating the city appearance and the promotion of urban development.
