With the development of China’s economy, the demand for electricity is increasing.In the enterprises, such as the metallurgical, chemical, and electricity, the high voltageelectrical equipment that high voltage transformers, high-voltage circuit breakers, highvoltage switch, often prone to failure, because of its high voltage, load, and run a longtime. The event of a fault, in addition to the equipment itself loss also seriously affect thenormal production of enterprises, resulting in considerable economic losses.Most of the running fault is caused by the high temperature of contacts or connectorswhich due to the contact resistance of the contacts or connector becomes large, theoverload. Therefore, for finding and eliminating the hidden dangers in advance, we needto monitor the temperature change characteristics of high pressure switch contacts, busbarand high-voltage cable joints, etc. It has important practical significance to the safe andreliable operation of the high voltage electrical equipment.The high voltage electrical equipment has the characteristics of high voltage, closureand works in harsh environments. In this paper, the high voltage circuit breakers for thestudy, designed based on Raman fiber sensing technology of high voltage electricalequipment temperature monitoring and early warning system. The theory of this system ismainly based on the effective integration of RBF Neural Network and D-S evidencetheory. The diagnostic process, rely mainly on the temperature information which acquireby the Raman fiber temperature sensor, combined with the electrical characteristics ofhigh voltage electrical equipment, such as voltage and current, through MATLABsimulation to obtain reliable, accurate diagnosis. Through the instance we can find theexcellent performance of this early warning system. It provides a reliable way forhigh-voltage electrical equipment fault diagnosis.
