Electromechanical rotating equipment is very important transmission equipment in the field of engineering, and its limit device is the key device to reflect electrical and mechanical rotating equipment performance. But so far on the design of electromechanical rotary equipment limit device is mainly dominated by the traditional method of mechanical design, makes some design results are often retained plenty of wriggle room (such as strength far meeting the requirements), and the design results is mainly based on the production of physical prototypes to carry out a full range of performance test, so that costs time-consuming and less effective. Therefore, with the limit device of large horizontal rotating equipment design as the research object, the virtual prototype technology is introduced into the design of a limit device, virtual design, virtual modeling, virtual analysis, virtual simulation and structure optimization, and trial production prototype and test etc, thus save the cost and theoretical research, practice shows that the research of cost effectiveness is the ideal。First analyze and Research the current situation and the problems faced by large horizontal rotating equipment limit device, proposed the mechanical design concept based on energy-saving, safe and reliable for the purpose, and the virtual prototype model of limit device is established by Solid works2011software.Limit device virtual prototyping model will introduce into ANSYS for the static analysis and model analysis. From static analysis results show that limit device has high strength, small deformation, so can optimized its design; From the modal analysis results show that the first two order natural frequency in limit device is small,so need to be optimized to improve.And then combining ANSYS and ADAMS software achieve simulation analysis of rigid-flexible coupling virtual prototype in limit device (mainly using ANSYS software to generate ADAMS needed the modal neutral file MNF that is the core of flexible file), the simulation analysis results can be obtained core force diagram, torque diagram, angular velocity and angular acceleration diagram, determine the rationality of the design, also provide certain theoretical basis for optimal design of device.The multi-objective optimization is introduced to the design limit device, according to the number of design variables and the number of levels to choose the appropriate table of orthogonal experiment, using the command stream (GUI operation translates into the command stream in ANSYS analysis) to complete the rapid analysis of different limit device by using ANSYS software, and then calculate the processing of experimental data obtained, Finally, the optimization results using graphics to achieve final analysis in Excel, according to the final analysis graph obtains optimal combination scheme of limiting device.Finally, after the virtual prototype performance tests, carried out a small-scale trial production, when the effect is significant, and then for the promotion of a wide range of applications.
