Chinese Classical Garden Elements In The Modern Streetscape Renovation

With the rapid development of our country’s economy and the construction of modernization, the traditional cultures and regional characteristics, which usually constitute the local image of a city, are unfortunately gradually dying out during the construction of numerous urban planning systems projects. This phenomenon and results generated from this phenomenon has become one of key research subjects for how to develop urban construction in future. Throughout all the existing approaches for building city image, architectures which follow or imitate the ancient classical architectures are becoming more and more popular with urban planning builders. In order to underline the cultural heritage of modern cities, integration of the Chinese classical garden elements with urban design has served as the role of catalyst to demonstrate the distinctive characteristics of a city, among which more widely used are those building approaches by imitating classical architectures or retaining the originally historical features during renovation and transformation of modern city streetscape.
