Since humans began to use electricity, we transmitted power mostly by wire, butwith the development of science and technology and the progress of the era, traditionalway of cable transmission is too limited even powerless. Charging for the electricalequipment is often used through the plug and socket, but in some special cases whencharging, the charging way will be inconvenient or unsafe. For example, for mobilepower supply equipment, for sealing device, and the power delivery problems formpower supply satellite solar power station in future, radio transmission has a hugeadvantage compared with the traditional cable transmission. So no conductor betweenpower system and electric equipment contact naturally become one of the importantresearch directions in power transmission.Microwave power transmission is a kind of electric power transmission technologywithout wire. A microwave which wavelength between radio and infrared iselectromagnetic wave, which has been widely used in mobile communications, weatherradar, microwave oven, and navigation, etc. Nowadays microwave is often used byhumans to transfer information and so on, but as electricity transmission medium, it’scurrent power is too small. If we increase the power of microwave, then the microwavecan be used as power transmission medium, and after the rectification of high-poweredmicrowave antenna receiving and rectifying it can be provided to the load in directcurrent form. Microwave power transmission mode can be used in many situationswhich the traditional transmission mode is not suitable for or not convenient, and it is auseful complement to traditional transmission mode. For practical and experimental demands, this article will study and design alow-power microwave power transmission test system, which consists of DC-Radiofrequency conversion module, RF power amplifier module, the focusing transmittingantenna, microwave rectifying antenna and its load. Under the2.45GHz frequency, thispaper will implement the power transmission by the medium of microwave, and willverify the rationality and feasibility of system on the basis of a large number ofexperimental tests. At first, we choose the2.45GHz microwave frequency because of the natural lossof this frequency of the microwave in the process of atmospheric transmission isminimal. The microwave signal will be converted to a DC level using ADF4360-0, thenthe microwave signal will go through the driver stage power amplifier which composedof ERA-5SM and ADL5606and be output, and then will be transmitted to the spacelaunch by focusing horn antenna, and finally provide the DC level to load after received, rectified, and filtered by the rectangular microstrip rectifying antenna.
